About Victoria

Hi, I’m Victoria.

I work in tech, write, speak, and spend a lot of time exploring what I can do with AI.

Getting here involved welfare, teenage motherhood, college, and a career that started behind a reception desk.

A few parts of the story

There were a few turns along the way.

01

College, motherhood,
and getting started.

I grew up in poverty and became a teenage mother. I went to college while raising my daughter and earned a degree in Business Administration with a marketing emphasis.

That was a beginning. Figuring out how to get into the work I wanted came next.

02

From the front desk
to tech sales.

I entered the technology industry as an administrative assistant and backup receptionist. Moving into sales took longer than I expected.

Eventually, I built a career in technology sales and closed the largest deal in my department’s history.

03

Writing about
what I learned.

Those experiences became part of Breaking Barriers: A Woman of Color’s Guide to Thriving in Tech (and Other) Sales.

I wanted to talk about the work itself, the barriers, and the things I wish I’d understood earlier.

What I’m working on now

AI has my attention.

I’ve created resources to help people use AI in their job searches. I also built Adoptobot to simplify work for animal rescue organizations.

I’m interested in what happens when we use these tools on problems we actually care about.

Where our paths might cross

Speaking, writing, or figuring things out.

My work brings together technology sales, career experiences, and AI. If you’re putting together an event or want to talk about one of those things, you can reach me here.
